John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icon QS ‘Black/Gum’ AQ0114-001 Release Date

Having a close relationship with LeBron James has its perks. In John Elliott’s case, his rapport with the NBA superstar has allowed him the opportunity to work on numerous LeBron silhouettes over the years. He even designed his own Nike silhouette for King James. After initially being teased last month, there is now another colorway of the designer’s LeBron Icon QS releasing in the coming weeks.

The latest pair sports a semi-translucent black upper with tonal synthetic overlays. Leather accents on the collar, liner, and heel tab provide an additional premium touch. The basketball-inspired lifestyle design sits atop the midsole tooling from the LeBron 8 and a translucent gum outsole. Branding is kept to a minimum with a Swoosh stitched on the toe box, sideways Nike logo on the tongue, and co-branded insoles.

This upcoming release is much more subtle in comparison to the multi-colored pastel pair that was unveiled beside it this past April. Look for the “Black/Gum” John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icon QS to hit select retailers like Solebox on May 21 for $250. A stateside release has yet to be announced. In the mean time, check out a detailed look at the pair below.
