May will mark four years since we received a project of some sort from Latrell James. However, in those four years, the Boston native has been quite active nabbing production among the likes of J.I.D., Cousin Stizz & more.
In addition to that, he was also one of the many artists who received the golden ticket to Dreamville’s recent Revenge of the Dreamers 3 recording sessions. With his production talents well-recognized, Latrell looks to give the world a taste of his own artistry.
Ahead on an EP set to drop later this year, he returns with his new single, “Tracphone.” The song tackles gentrification and its impact on inner city communities and is of course produced by Latrell himself.
Hit play on the track below and stay tuned for more on his EP.
